Newlands Forest
Due to the unpredictable weather forecast on the exposed mountain ridges this weekend, we’re pivoting to one of Cape Town’s most magical, protected trails: Newlands Forest!
The beauty of this route is its lush, towering canopy offering about 95% tree cover and wind protection—making it the ultimate route when mountain conditions are uncertain. Expect fresh pine-scented air, running mountain streams, mossy boulders, and plenty of vibrant green fynbos.
Let’s meet at the Newlands Forest main parking area at 6:45 AM so we can regroup, stretch, and start walking together at 7:00 AM sharp!
